At SHYN Detailing, we understand that clients often have questions before booking. That’s why our FAQ section covers the essentials, from how our mobile service works to what you should expect during detailing session. Our goal is to make the booking process simple, transparent, and stress-free.

How much do you charge for a detail?

It varies. Before we’re able to give an accurate quote we need to collect some information starting with the year, make and model of your vehicle. Then we need to know about the current condition: has it been detailed before? How long ago? Are there any variables such as pet hair or spills/stains that would need to be addressed? Depending on the size and condition of your vehicle, pricing will vary as these variables affect the labor and products and processes needed to deliver results.

Do I need to provide water or electricity?

Nope. Our mobile detailing unit arrives to your door equipped with everything we need to deliver exceptional service.

Will I need to remove belongings from the car before my appointment?

We recommend you to remove personal belongings from the vehicle, however it is not necessary. We can safely remove your belongings, store them in a safe location and return them to the vehicle after cleaning, however the time is takes to do this will affect the total price of your service.

How long will my appointment take?

It depends. Service times vary based on the size of the vehicle and the extent of the services being done. Times can range from 1 hour to multiple days depending on the service.To see time estimates by service, visit our online booking form.

I’ve had mobile detailers before and the work was not consistent. What if spots are missed?

It’s completely understandable that poor / inconsistent results would cause you to lose trust in a detailer. That’s why we guarantee our work – if results are any less than what we could have delivered, we will send someone out to correct the missed areas for no extra charge.

Do I need to be home?

Most of our clients are home during the time of service but it’s not 100% necessary. If you are going to be away during a scheduled appointment, we offer a lockbox service, where we provide a key lockbox for your car where you can set your own secured code so your vehicle can be detailed in the driveway even if you’re not home.

What if it rains on the day of my appointment?

Every appointment booked with a deposit includes one free rain date. We’ll connect with you to set a date so you don’t have to worry about any additional planning.

When I get a detail, the car stays clean for a couple of weeks, then gets dirty again. Why not just go to the car wash every once in a while?

Our detailing services go beyond a regular cleaning you would get at the car wash. We care for your vehicle with the future in mind. In addition to individual services, we offer multiple maintenance plans from biannual appointments (spring & fall) to monthly and even weekly maintenance. Our online booking system documents invoices and builds a portfolio of detailing services for your vehicle and we update Carfax with qualifying services to help your car retain resale value.
